The Adventures Of Flying

Through out my summer I had the privilege of flying to different places through out my stay abroad. I visited lots of parts of the US such as Arizona, California, and Kansas and well as visiting The Netherlands, Sweden and Spain. Needless to say, these long hours on a plane gave me lots of air miles. Some of the strongest memories that I had of this summer have been on a plane. On a flight from Tokyo to Amsterdam I had to sit next to the crying baby. Some where while flying over Russia, the baby started to cry a shrill, loud cry. The parents had decided to let the baby, “cry it out” for 20 long minutes before it finally fell asleep. I watched the same movie at least four times, the new Dr. Seuss movie “Horton Hears a Who”, and then another three times when I realized my chair did not recline and I couldn’t sleep. The person next to me, whose chair did recline, fell alseep with his mouth open and hogged the whole arm rest, one of my particular pet peeves. My other flights were just as eventful. I sat next to everyone from the Chatty Cathy who wanted to know everything about my trip and the frequent bathroomer who went every 20 minutes while I sat on the aisle seat. I met the people insisted on speaking very loudly to the person right next to them and a lady who tried to get me to ask the stewardess for another bag of peanuts for her, even after her fourth bag. I sat and awkwardly squeezed next to people all through out my travels. Needless to say the miles and the experiences I accumulated over this summer was enough to go three times around the world.
